There is also a series of it, but It is best to watch................
Like this sentence, are "(a) series of" used with both plural (pro)nouns and singlar (pro)nouns? |

| Usually series would be used with a plural, but when you're talking about a TV series you can use the name of the show this way. You can say 'the new series of Lost starts today', or 'my favourite series is Friends'. Think of it as describing the actual series itself, and not what's in the series (the collection of episodes). There was a movie called Serenity, which was based on a TV series called Firefly - if you were talking about the movie you could say 'there is also a series of it' (it meaning the same story and characters that the movie is based on). |
