Hey,
does anybody here have any good advices about living and working in Izmir? Everybody keeps talking about Turkey in Sweden so to get my own opinion about that country I want to go and see for myself.

These are comments I've heard/read: Ankara is brown and kind of dull (?). People (especially women) have said that Istanbul is not that safe + men harrass foreign women in crowded places. Alanya is such a touristic place. The climate in Izmir is very nice.

Are they true?

How can I find a woman/women/family in Turkey who want(s) to practice English? All I'm asking for is free accomidation + food. And somewhere close with Internet access. Are there any Turkish job sites in English? Question
