I know that "He is worthy of her" is OK. But, can I just say "He is worthy" ?

If you ever saw the movie "Wayne's World," you heard the main characters bow down to rock stars and chant, "We are not worthy. We are not worthy."

I think it's all right to say, "He is worthy" or "He is unworthy."

"Does he deserve such a good wife as she is?"
"Oh, yes, I think so. He is worthy." Something like that.
