Shooting / suicide? /murder
hello all...
i am doing some research and i was wondering if anyone here remembers:
1)any details of the guy who was shot by the police 3-4-5 years ago (i can't remember). he was working in chamshil (wonderland? ELS? again, i forget). it was early morning and it was after a party in the apartment. he was here legally. he had a web site for some time, but it is now gone. i suspect it had to do with the court settlement?? he was hit in the leg and required emer. surgery (which was not covered by med. insurance since a member of the govt.-police-did it--read your insurance small print--amusing. he was never charged with anything, but he does have a hole in his leg and a bill for about 10G for the emer. surgery).
2)the guy about 4-5 years ago who either killed himself or was killed--on a construction site near seoul. he was from chinju (jinju--southern sk, near pusan), i believe? he had fled the hogwan he was at and was apparently on route to the US embassy for aid. it was reported in a few newspapers in the US, but again, i forget? i think it might have been denver and san jose? he was born in san jose and went to school in denver..or vice-versa?? sorry...i have forgotten most of the details.
3)the guy who was stabbed in his classroom (just outside of it)....he was working for EPIK i believe. it was about 3-4 years ago. there was a small write-up in a couple english papers a week after the fact and there was one 4-5 paragraph article in the chosun ilbo-this I remember reading with my then gf helping me with the translations (i searched their site with no luck). the man was--as you guessed declared "mentally unstable" and the whole thing was white washed..."poor guy, having a tough go--IMF--all that...we forgive"
Anyway, if anyone comes across any information on these events, please email me at [email protected] or [email protected]. I would be deeply grateful...
regards

Hmm. I'm an American, but I've never heard of this. Then again, I have some problems getting news from the US right now anyway... _________________
