You can say, "While he was writing...forces leading," and I would prefer it that way, so as not to repeat the name "Alain."
I would not say, "In writing... which led," because then the subject becomes Alain's pencil rather than Alain. I prefer "that led" to "which led," but I know not everyone would agree. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
