Hi,
Does 'warm discussion' exist when it means a lot of people are participating in a discussion and are discussing the topic enthusiastically? If 'warm discussion' is not natural, what is the most natural way to express such an idea?
Besides, does 'heated discussion' imply negatively? Must 'heated discussion' involve both 'angry' and 'exciting' emotions as the dictionary annotates?
Thanks for your help!

To me, a warm discussion is an intimate discussion between two people, while a lively discussion is better to describe the enthusiastic discussion that you want to describe.
A heated discussion usually means one where there is some amount of emotion -- anything from enthusiasm to anger verging on violence. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
