Can we omit the preposition for?

You would say either, "Three CDs for only $399" or "Three CDs only $399," but not "Three CDs are for only $399."
Are you sure it's $399, not $3.99?

I meant NT$399. 1 US dollar is approximately equal to 33 New Taiwan dollars.
