Is this sentence correct?or does it make sense?

No, sorry.
"To forward" and "to backward" are not verbs. You can say go forward or backward, or drive forward or backward, or look forward or backward, etc.

If you add an "a" to say "a kind of art," I would say yes, quite correct.
