Are these two sentences the same?

Our last trip was exciting.
= We found the last trip exciting.

If not, could you please fix them?

If yes, can we say that
A is exciting/surprising/thrilling/amazing, etc = I or we find A exciting/surprising...amazing, etc?

Another question is our last trip = our recent trip = our latest trip ?

Both sentences are correct and mean the same thing.

Last trip, recent trip and latest trip are also interchangeable.

You seem to have a good grasp on this.
