Hi, everyone!
Do you say "give me a favor" instead of saying "do me a favor"? I think "do me a favor" is correct and "give me a favor" is wrong, but I have a friend who says he has heard a native speaker of Enlgish say "give me a favor".
Thank you!

I've never heard "give" instead of "do" a favor. If someone said it, I would assume that English was not his or her native tongue.
Has anyone else heard it that way? _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |

I haven`t heard "give me a favor," but I think "give favors" is used to imply favors of a sexual nature. It is probably best to avoid using it, though.
