If I change "you are wrong" to "the idea is a mistake", does it sound strange?

No, because it would be interpreted to mean that the idea of volunteering is a mistake.
You can say, "but you are mistaken" instead of "but you are wrong." _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
