Hi,
I read the following sentence:
"It's refreshing to be faced with no choice."
Why not say, "It's refreshing to face with no choice"? Can I say that?
Thanks.

No. To be faced with means to be confronted with or to be presented with. We do not say "to face with." So it is refreshing to be confronted with no choice, in your sentence. It is refreshing not to have to make a choice for once. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
