American football has 11 men on each side, and when the ball is live, anyone who has it in his possession is fair game to be tackled -- knocked to the ground in any number of creative ways.
But there are variations on tackle football, or "tackle," especially when playing a non-regulation game, without all the pads and helmets. There's touch football (all you have to do is touch both hips of the ballcarrier to stop play) and flag football (pull off one of two streamers worn at the hips).
You can still play tackle on the beach or the playground, of course, so here B is just asking what version of the game they will be playing. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
