Dear Teachers,

1. She is now absorbed by the Internet right now. When I first started using it I was the same way.
- �I was the same way� here means �I was also absorbed by the Internet�, right?

2. When someone says �thanks!�, we can answer �that�s ok!� or �no problem!�, or �never mind!�, right?

3. When two people have reached to an agreement, one of them will say �deal!� or �done deal!�, right?

2. Yes to "That's OK" and "No problem," both of which are rather casual answers, in place of "You're welcome." But no to "Never mind."

"Never mind" means "Forget it" or "Drop it" or even "Let's change the subject." You don't hear it in answer to "Thank you."

3. You may hear, "Deal!" or "It's a deal" when two people agree (and usually shake hands on it), but "done deal" is usually used to refer to something that is completed, and not necessarily a bargain or agreement.

"Isn't Britney Spears going to have another baby?" "She already had it. It's a done deal."
