[1] There was a huge crowd of these people with maple leaves painted on their faces.
=========================================================================
What does this sentence mean?
[a] There was a huge crowd of these people with maple leaves and they painted on their faces.
[b] "There was huge crowd of these people and they painted maple leaves on their faces."
Which of the two sentences, [a] and [b] has the same meaning of [1]? |

This probably refers to a crowd of Canadians, whose flag is decorated with a maple leaf. It just means that the people's faces had maple leaves painted on them. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |

Both [a] and [b] are wrong, from my point of view.

means:
1. There was a crowd of people. (a huge crowd)
2. These people's faces are painted with "maple leaves".
This is a maple leave: _________________ If I say "I love you" to someone, then I also have to say "I also love everyone else inside you, I love the whole world because of you, I also love myself inside you." -- Erich Fromm, the Art of Love |
