I want to know whether "a catalog of, a list of, a sample of must be used with "plural nouns" and "singular verbs" or not. |

"a catalog of, a list of, are used with plural nouns. A catalog of books/designs,etc, a list of items/countries, etc.
a sample of could be used with either singular or plural nouns. A sample of the music, a sample of the material, a sample of the dishes, etc. |

I got it. But.....
Here is another question.
Frist:
Must "a list of + plural nouns" and "a catalog of + plural nouns" always be used with "singular verbs"?
Second:
Can a list of and "a catalog of" be used with either singular or plural nouns, too?(like this: a list of it, a list of this week's material, a catalog of this size etc) |
