The gerund is the -ing form of a verb used as a noun. Here are some of its uses:

1. Sewing is my hobby.

Sewing functions as the subject of the verb is.

2. My hobby is sewing.

Sewing functions as the subject complement after the linking verb is.

3 I like sewing.

Sewing functions as the direct object of the verb like.

4. I am good at sewing.

Sewing functions as the object of the preposition at.

Quote:
-they cant find any opportunity doing some activities.
-they cant find any opportunity to do some activities.
-they cant find any opportunity for doing soe activities.

As for the sentences you wrote, use any opportunity to do ... or any opportunity of doing ....

I hope this helps.
