A member from southern climes asked for advice re. online courses for beginners. I am posting a reply here in the hopes that more knowledgeable posters will have more/better info. to add.

I typed "free online courses for beginners" in the google search box (www.google.com) and found-
<<www.learn-english-online.org>>
seems to have an audio function.
I don't know if this site would be suitable for an adult.....
