Hello,
What's a "power player" in basketball?
A: Can you shoot threes?
b: No. I'm more of a power player.
I assume that "shoot threes" refer to the throwing of balls that score 3 points. But I don't really understand what "power player" means, apart from the kind of players who do not shoot threes, that is.

Yes, run in powerfully against the defense and slam dunk, etc.
Cf: power forward-- a strong, bulky forward who can score from near the basket and get rebounds.
