Greetings and blessings to all! I am a grouchy old English professor (actually 35 years old) and I want to learn Vietnamese. Actually, I used to speak the language well when I was a little boy but I think I've forgotten it all. Crying or Very sad

I also want to go to Vietnam for my summer vacation, but I have no clue about where to go. Can somebody help me?

You could trek through the beautiful northern mountains of Sa Pa and see the famous terraced ricefields and northern hill tribe villages, or explore the exotic markets, bazaars, and restaurants of bigger cities like Saigon or Hanoi, see important historical landmarks in Hue, or travel by boat up the Mekong River and meet friendly villagers at the floating markets...

How do you know so much about Vietnam, flying_pig319? I guess you've been there before.
Yes, Sapa is worth visiting since it's considered one of the most attractive spots in Northern Vietnam. You should also spend two or three days in Halong Bay, a world heritage. It's located in the North.
In the Centre, of course, like flying_pig319 has suggested, old capital Hue is the most beautiful.
In the South, Da Lat, Nha Trang (with the beach rated one of the nicest in the world Cool ) and Ho Chi Minh City are always the top choices of tourists and travellers.
