After the expression "try also", we should use "to + verb" or an ing form?

For example:

You should try to call her.

You should try calling her.

You can use try with either form. There's a difference in meaning, though.

When followed by an infinitive, try means "attempt to do something".

When followed by a gerund, try means "do something to see if it works".
