Dear Teachers,
- Is this letter natural?
Dear Rose!
- Theres one thing that I wanted to tell you a long time ago. Now I have enough confidence to tell you that I love you. You may not believe when I say this. But I say this from the bottom of my heart. You know what! Whenever Im with you, you often make me feel very happy; you also make my tiredness and sorrow disappear. Youre also the one who taught me how to enjoy life, and how to be stronger.
- Thanks Jesus very much for letting me meet you. Maybe you will ask me why I love you, I will say that just because youre so beautiful, so smart, and your character really absorbs me. And you always make me feel that Im the most important man. I also think that you love me, too, right?. Theres nothing more I can say. Once more I want to say I love you very much. You will find that Im the best boyfriend. Just give me a call when you have finished this letter, ok?
Much love.
Thanks a lot to Teachers,

I'm not a teacher, but if I was you I would only write "I love you." In that letter. _________________ If I say "I love you" to someone, then I also have to say "I also love everyone else inside you, I love the whole world because of you, I also love myself inside you." -- Erich Fromm, the Art of Love |

When I was in the Army, I used to help my fellow soldiers write love letters to their wives and sweethearts, so your post really takes me back. I would re-write your love letter this way. (Good luck.)
Dearest Rose,
I have wanted to tell you something for a long time, but only now do I have the courage, the confidence: I love you.
I love you, Rosie, I really love you. You may not believe it, but believe it, because I say it from the bottom of my heart. When Im with you, I am happy. You make all my fatigue, all my sorrows disappear. You taught me how to enjoy life, and how to be strong. I thank Jesus so much for letting me find you.
Maybe you will ask why I love you. How could I not? You are so beautiful, so smart, so wonderful to me, and you have such a fine character, that I am fascinated all the time.
You are the most important person in the world to me, and you always make me feel that Im the most important man to you. So I think you love me, too, right? Say yes and make me the happiest man in the world.
Once more I want to say I love you very much. You will find that Im the best boyfriend. Just give me a call when you have finished this letter, okay?
All my love,

Dear CP!
- Thanks very much again for your help. By the way, CP. I have two questions for you; if you dont like them just forget them, ok?
1. Many beautiful girls love you, right? I just guess this through the way you rewrite the letter for me.
2. In the US, when someone has finished his or her time in the Army, they are often given some money, right? Here in Vietnam (Asia), my friend was given 300 USD when he finished his time in the Army.
Best wishes,

1. No red-blooded American man would deny that many beautiful girls love him. However, all my nicest love letters when I was in the Army were in other people's handwriting, sent to their wives and girlfriends, so all the love and affection they created were channeled to those men, not me. Not that I'm complaining . . . .
2. No. At least when I was in the Army, we received our pay once a month, and when processing out, we received the last paycheck that paid us through the last day. Nothing extra. However, if there was any leave (vacation) time left, we received pay for that time, since we had worked more days than we really had to.
People who re-enlisted would sometimes receive a bonus, however. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |

Dear Beancurd Turtle,
I am working on a particularly mushy one for you to send to Red Rose. I've noticed how you gaze fondly at her picture . . . .
Yours truly,

Hey Beeps!
Ah! Then you didn't notice I called her "stinky tofu (臭豆腐)" in another post.
It will have to be a REALLY good letter to usher me past that faux pas. _________________ Daniel

Dear Beancurd Turtle,
I dont think Id worry if I were you. Red Rose will forgive a little pet name. You only tease people you like, after all.
And Red Rose has shown how much she likes you with her adoring posts as well as her teasing. In just the last few days, look what I have found:
On 9/11/06: You know so much about Chinese classical literature! that's incredible!! and hahaha!! you crack me up too! but yes, maybe ChaoXueQin was a sissy guy. and reportedly, he had the similar experience like JiaBaoYu's.
Also on 9/11/06, when you called the Brazilian girls very charming and they were she was quick to remark: Turtle got turned on so terribly! She is monitoring your state of arousal pretty carefully, Id say.
And again on 9/11/06, in a new thread with your name in it:
"beancurdturtle wrote:
Here's another idiomatic English phrase for the day: "I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed man."
Beautiful sentence!! thank you Turtle for putting it here. She was not holding any stinky tofu against you then, I bet.
9/12/06: I am laughing my butt off too! [P] Seriously, Turtle, I can turn any topic into a perverted one, like from religion into voyeurism. if you don't believe, just try one. Would she say that to just any man?
9/13/06: But you know more about Chinese cuture than I do. that's why I feel very pleased to talk to you. mainly because you have no problem to get something subtle in Chinese cuture. and also because you always respect people and people's cutures. besides, you have a good sense of humor. that's the most important.
Im no expert, but judging from her love letters to you, I'm thinking I can scrap the mushy one I was going to write for you to send her.
Of course, there is the jealousy factor to consider, and I hope it won't cause you any problems with Red Rose. Who can forget when she wrote to me on 9/3/06, Thanks again, Teacher CP. what a wonderful man you are! So insightful, as well as feisty! But dont worry. I am married and I never stray.
Yours truly,
CP |

Don't be silly Beeps!
She writes to me - this is true. But she blows smoke uniformly up EVERYONE'S kilts.
But you? She started a whole thread about you. No, no, no, my good man - if there was a competition for her love, I've already lost it. _________________ Daniel

What a great talent Teresa Teng was. I think every Chinese and Vietnamese person I have met knows her. And many Japanese too. _________________ Daniel
