Hello,
Can you have a look at article usage in the following sentence? Some items are plural nouns, some have the article "the" and some has the non-count form with zero article. When we list a number of items, should they have the same form or similar phrase structures?
"Topic and themes covered in the courses include social issues, the environment, careers, the media, popular culture and foreign
cultures."

Topic could be rather plural, and a little rearranging so as to juxtapose similar ideas/structures:
"Topics and themes covered in the courses include careers, social issues, the environment, the media, popular culture and foreign cultures." |
