Hello..... Not sure if I'm posting this in in the correct forum, but hey here we go anyway......
My girlfriend and I are in the process of completing our TEFL course (the full 1 month course) and would like to teach in Taiwan on completion. I have a degree from a British university, however my girlfriend does not. I know you have to have a degree in order to receive a work visa, but would it be possible for her to find work once we are there/ do private tuition etc? If this is possible, is it econimically viable?
Any advice greatfully appreciated!!

There is only one way for your girlfriend to get a recidency certificate without a degree - that is to enroll at a Chinese language institute to study Chinese. Other than that, she will only be able to stay here for the duration of her visitor's visa, which is 60 days in most cases. _________________ Irrie |

Hi Irrie,
Thanks for the information. Do you know if she would be eligible to work if she had this visa? Also, would she have to study Chinese for the entire year, how much time would this take up/cost etc?
Thanks again |
