I do not understand why "in threes" in the definition below. What are threes?
"In his writing Hugh was fond of summing up with a palilogy, the deliberate repetition of words and grammatical presentations, a sort of parallelism in threes." _________________ Hiromichi |

A parallelism is a function of two, In threes means in groups or formations of three... So, I guess Hugh likes to finish his summaries with the repetition done three times...
Oh God! Oh God! Oh God!
Bang, Bang, Bang.
They shall not prevail! They shall not prevail! They shall not prevail!
Or something similar. |
