Dear Teachers,

1. When you meet a girl you can tell if they are attractive to you or not. They are always smiling.
- Why do we use the present continuous here they are always smiling? can I use "they always smile"?

2. If youre not the type of guy that gets really nervous, talk to them and just come right out and ask them.
- just come right out here means just be brave, right?

Thanks a bunch to Teachers,

Stevenukd

1. I think you hear "They are always smiling" because the idea is that the young ladies keep smiling; it is something they are always doing when you are around. They like you so much that they are happy and smiling all the time. You go, boy!

2. Whenever someone puts "just come right out" in a sentence such as yours, it means don't hesitate, don't fear, and, yes, be brave and just do it.
