Dear Teachers,

1. When a woman or a girl is very aggressive, can I call her �ogress�? or are there any other common words?

2. When a boy or a man behaves like an old man, call I call him �young old man�? or are there any other common words?

1. I've never heard a young girl called an ogress. An ogre is a horrible monster, and an ogress is just the female version of that. A tigress, on the other hand, is an aggressive female cat, and you do hear of ambitious young ladies who are known as tigresses.

2. "Young old man" is not a common expression, as far as I know, but you could of course call someone that if the description fits. You might say "the world's youngest senior citizen" or "a very young old crank" if you thought that fit, too. I don't know of any common expression for "young old man." Maybe someone else does.
