Dear Teachers,
1. Dont forget that you still own me an apology, remember buddy?
- Is this natural?
2. Ill give you an example : when Peter was still a sophomore, he was very poor, and Rusty helped him constantly. Peter was very grateful to Rusty for his big help. And now Rusty is very broke, and Peter is now a businessman, Peter always helps Rusty many things. So Ill say Peter lives very affectionately and gratefully. Is this sentence correct?
Thanks a bunch to Teachers,

1. yes, it's natural. if someone has not apologized yet and your feelings are still hurt, usually if it's a friend, you can politely remind them that they still owe you an apology.
if the person is an enemy, you stop talking to them and usually hold a grudge against them because they never offered an apology when your feelings were hurt.
2. affectionately - holding someone dear to your heart; passionately is similar...love
gratefully is correct. if you want to use two words to describe how you feel (as you have offered), you can say "I'm grateful and indebted to him."
indebted (the B is silent - in DET-ted) means that you will gladly return the favor if you are ever able to.
does that help? iitimone7 |
