Hi, everyone!
In the cases below, which one should be choosen, the singular form, or the plural form?
1) All the players have to wear a cap.
2) All the players have to wear caps.
1) I saw gentlemen in a tuxedo and ladies in a formal dress.
2) I saw gentlemen in tuxedos and ladies in formal dresses.
1) In those days drivers were not forced to wear a seat belt.
2) In those days drivers were not forced to wear seat belts.
Singular/ plural choice is often cofusing to me.

Dont worry mate, your not alone, making things singular and plural is difficult, but i'll try to help.

To me, both of those statements seem correct but I would chose number 1 as it seems to make more sense. Statement one says that "All the players have to wear a[one] cap"

I'd go with 2

I'd go with 2 again, but both seem fine.
