Hello,
what is "climatic finish"? Related to "climax"?
e.g.
The event ended with a climatic finish ...

In my dictionary climatic is just an adjective of climate,
but the article I'm reading has nothing to do with climate!

You want "climactic," not "climatic."

Hi Keira,

A climactic finish is the dramatic final culminating experience ranging from human sexuality to the arts. In human sexuality it is one of ecstasy. In the arts, it is a dramatic finale.

An example would be the dramatic finale to Beethoven's fifth symphony. This climactic finish is one of the most renowned in symphonic history.
