1. It would be more natural to say something like: I am surprised you even read the thread, let alone answer it.
2. To up the ante means to raise the stakes in a poker game, etc. To up an offer means to raise the offer when bargaining for something. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
