Hi,
The following is a precise copy:
"When the interferometer is stationary, the path length of the two counter-rotating beams is identical so there is no phase difference resulting in maxium amplitude."
I don't know the last sentence means "so there is no phase difference which results in maxium amplitude." Or,
"so there is no phase difference, and this results in maxium amplitude."
Thanks.

Hi Tony,
What you've said mean the same thing. The original sentence can be better written as:
"When the interferometer is stationary, the path lengths of the two counter-rotating beams are identical; so there is no phase difference between them, which results in maximum amplitude."
