I have always preferred poetry to any other form of literary works because of the effective way it is able to reach out to one with not so many words. People change with time, the same goes for their preferences. I used to have a passion for romantic love poetry, I still do, but perhaps because of my age, I find myself drawn to poems that have a reflective quality about them. Verses or lines that remind me so much of myself; consequences that follow every decision I have made....yes, life is a journey of choice, actually. We revel from the right choices and learn from the bad ones; either way, it makes us better and wiser people.
And for this, I have always loved Robert Frost's The Road Not Taken and Rudyard Kipling's If. I have learnt so much from both these wonderful poems because I firmly believe that life is about trying to be as best a person as one can be... _________________ Carpe diem~
