Last year I decided to practise my english-listening skills. and I didn't know where to start. my friend told me:"the best way to practise english-listening is to watching English porn movies. then you will make it. believe me, that's my experience"
I did. after watching English porn movies for a while, I definitely got those porn vocabulary, like orgasm, twisted, high, sexy, moan, pose..., as those actors and actresses said them. and that's all, nothing more. I still had a hard time to listen to regular movies and radios.
another friend told me:"watching porn isn't a nice way to learn english listening. you have to watch regular movies and TV programs, as many as you can."
I did too. after a long time, I could get 70% of those lines in those movies. I found that it took longer time to practise regular english movie-listening than to practise porn movies-listening.
My question is: why is that? why can we remember porn vocabulary more easily than we remember regular vocabulary? |

Porn repertoire is limited to those few words/phrases, so it's no big deal.
Vocabulary in regular movies is unlimited and takes longer to pick up. |

That's not the badest idea to practize the listening-skills by watching porn movies... but forgive me RedRose, I had to laugh anyway, that's definitely an advice our teachers had forgotten to tell us about in high school 
I made the same experience, it depends a lot on what kind of movie or tv show I'm watching how much I can grasp of the vocab. For example, the tv show Lost is one of those shows I can understand almost everything of what they're saying, but Gilmore Girls or The OC is horrible, they speak so incredibly fast and the textes are sometimes very sophisticated. Smallville is okay too for me. I think it depends on the authors and the kind of movie for itself, it's logical to me that in a porn movie they don't need the sort of sophisticated textes as in a political movie, for example

and another explanation for the weird phenomenon would be: we all like porn.
when you are interested in something, it's easy for u to remember it. |

I think that the number of words you've been able to learn by watching porn is incredibly high!
When I tried to do the same, the result was that I learned just five words: AH, OH, IH, EH and UH. Your porn actors were definitely verbose...

Generally speaking, people don't pay attention to what those porn stars are saying. however, if you watch porn for a purpose: learning english, you do, definitely do.

I practise my English by watching movies too but i dont wacth porn movies. Once my friend gave me a porn movie but i didnt learn any words from this film out of naked people almost had sex toghether, i dont think it was interesting, actually i was bored. I want patient to wacth entire movie. Can you tell me some porn movies that i can learn English easily?
