Not quite. I would re-write as:

We stopped halfway up the mountain. I began to feel short of oxygen and fatigued.

Thank you very much CP!

I began to feel short of oxygen and fatigued.

Does the above sentence mean the below?

I began to feel short of oxygen and I began fatigued.

Fatigue is a noun meaning mental or physical tiredness. "The players finally had to stop because of fatigue."

As a verb, fatigue means to tire out or wear out. "John can't study too long at one time because he fatigues easily."

So you could say that you began to fatigue (to tire out) or you began to feel fatigued (feel tired) or you began to feel fatigue (feel tiredness). But you wouldn't say that you began fatigued.

The most natural way to say your last sentence is, "I began to feel tired and out of breath." Or, "I began to feel tired and short of oxygen."
