Hello, teachers.
Is the following sentences acceptable?

Ino Tadataka made a survey of entire Japan's coastline traveling on foot.
I'd like to learn from his perseverance and eagerness for his work .

I would revise the sentences thus:

Ino Tadataka, traveling on foot, made a survey of Japan's entire coastline.

I'd like to learn from his perseverance and passion for his work.
