Hello,
Teachers, I need to say one sentence, urgently!
"You are not angery that make me be reassuring. I often offended others without mentioned. "
I know this is one wrong sentence, but I don't know how to express it correctly. Now I always need to say such sentence because of my poor English. Today I hope that someone can give me the correct sentence, as I need it urgently.
Thanks a lot. |

The meaning of this is pretty obscure but it MIGHT mean this:
I am reassured that you are not angry. I often offend others without meaning to (do so). |

Thank you,obelix,
If I have offended someone, but I was not aware of the reason and I was not willing to offend him. How can I express my meaning?
Thanks a lot. |

Hi Susan,
I can't think of any special expressions for this. I'd just say it in a straightforward way:
1. If you suspect you might have offended them (probably because they are suddenly acting coolly towards you):
Is anything wrong?
Are you angry with/at me?
Did I offend you in some way?
2. If they have told you that you offended them:
I'm [so] sorry.
I didn't mean to offend you.
I never meant to offend you.
I'd never try to offend you.
Most likely, of course, there would be further clarifying dicussion besides simply saying one of the sentences above.
Hope that helps! |
