I like reading serious literature because I believe I get something from them -- they open my eyes to different ways people look at life; they help me understand the way people think and remind me of how I have lived my life so far. Perhaps what I like most about serious literature is that it makes me "think". The popular ones you easily forget, but good novels, stories and poetry stay with you for a long time, and in way, mold you.
