Hi!
I need help really a.s.a.p.!!
This is a sentence transformation exercise. I don't understand the model sentence:
In the future she became a successful business woman.
Key word: WENT
She........................... a successful business woman.
Question: Is it correct the phrase In the future in the model sentence? Why is it used with a past tense verb (became)?
Can the following transformation sentences be correct?
She WENT on working hard to become a successful....etc.
She WENT far and became a successful....etc.
Anyone who can help me, I'll be very grateful! Thanks a lot! |

Hi vero2006,
You're on the right track.
She went on to become a successful business woman.
