| You might want to put the word that says "beep" so that there is a star or hyphen or space. For example, if I type the name *beep*, the computer thinks it's a bad word and beeps it. So I can type D i c k or D*i*c*k or D-i-c-k. (Unless of course someone can figure out what it is.) |

The only thing I've heard that might fit is, "You can't teach an old dog new tricks."
But the naughty-word robot doesn't bleep "tricks," so maybe that's not it. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |

Dear Lucy,
Whenever you write the last word of the expression, a robot turns it into the word *beep*, either because it is a naughty word or resembles a naughty word or is on a list of words that might be used as naughty words.
You have to write the naughty word with spaces or hyphens in it to get past the naughty-word robot.
Examples: s h i t, s-e-x.
Until we can see the last word, we can't know what the original expression was. (And I'm really getting curious now.) _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |

| It's a carton of cigarettes. And here we say a pack of cigarettes. (I don't know if a "packet" is used somewhere else.) |
