The coach came under fire from the sponsors for histeam's poor record.

Is that sentence correctly used?

She tells us the efforts to clean up the...
She tells of us the efforts to clean up the...
What is the difference ?

I like *strutting down to you*.
Does that mean anything?

Thanks to you all

"The coach came under fire from the sponsors for his team's poor record." That's fine. To come under fire is to receive criticism. The team's record is the won-loss record. Coaches who don't win must expect and will receive criticism.

"She tells us the efforts to clean up the... " leads me to believe that she is going to say what the efforts to clean up the beach cost, or what the efforts to clean up the scandal resulted in, etc. "She tells us that the efforts to clean up the beach cost $7 million, and the beach is still polluted."

"She tells of us the efforts to clean up the... " just indicates that she explains or describes the efforts to clean up the beach or the scandal. "She tells us of the efforts to clean up the beach and she sings songs about global warming."

"I like strutting down to you." I have no idea what this might mean. Someone help!

Hi,

It comes from the fashion industry. As a model struts down the runway, she shows off her best. So, a man can do the same to impress a girl. We often hear:

He was struttin' his stuff.

"I like strutting down to you."
The boy likes to strut his stuff, literally and figuratively (show off his best and make her feel good).
