Dear teachers,
Does the following sentence sound ok?
Without this domestic device it would be very tiring work and (it would be?) almost impossible to achieve a spotless result. (-talking about the washing machine)

No. 'Spotless result' is odd. For instance:
Without this domestic device, washing would be very tiring work and it would be almost impossible to clean one's clothes spotlessly.
