The media criticized the actor that he jumped on the couch and talked about psychology on Today Show.

Is the above sentence correct?

Thank you

If your doubt is regarding the use of the preposition, then, yes, you can say 'on the show'. Little corrections:

The media criticized the actor, that he had jumped on the couch and talked about psychology on today's show.

You can say Today Show, i.e., use capitals, if it is the name of the show.

I think the sentence might have been written this way:

"The media criticized the actor who had jumped on the couch [on the Oprah Winfrey Show] and had talked about psychology [with Matt Lauer] on the Today Show."

Or:

"The media criticized the actor for jumping on the couch [on the Oprah Winfrey Show] and for spouting off about psychology on the Today Show."

The actor is Tom Cruise. In the first case, he was trying to prove how much he loved Katie Holmes. In the second case, he was chastising the host of the Today Show, saying that he knew nothing about psychology, while Cruise knew all about it, because of Scientology.
