What is your opinion about TV influence for kids?

Pro-TV Very Happy ?
Anti-TV Mad ?

It's a big problem.
It is very difficult to control the amount of TV your kid watches, specially if you have long working hours away from home.

"In the USA, 99%of all homes have television set turned on for about 7 hours a day, and on average children watch TV more than 20 hours a week. A recent study found that 2/3 of children have a TV set in their bedroom."

I was astonished at this number Arrow

"they will have seen some 300,000 commercials, 200,000 acts of violence, and 16,000 murders"

What should the adult do for children?

It is a hard one. TVs have been a big part of this world, like it is sticked to our lives. It will be hard to put off them. And it is hard to keep the kids away from them too. We cannot go back to the past when there was no TV. We need to do something, but I have no clue right now. If I have a child, I will try to keep him away from TVs as far as I can, maybe that's all I can do in my life.

Totally agree! For kids, reading books is better for their education. because books can bring them more imagination and the ability of understanding words and sentences.

My daughter is a TV buff Laughing But I try to control her hours of watching TV. Fortunately, she is a book buff too. so when I ask her to turn her attention from TV to books, she has no problem.

you know, the problem with the TV or the movies for the kids depends on their parents, the reason is if you know or control what your dhild is watching today or tonight or what kind music your child is listening it won't be any problem. but most of the parents right now are teenagers or they are in their midd 20's just like me and we can't or we don't even have any time to look after our kids... so I think the problem is from the parents not from the TV or the kids on them selves....
