Jane may not stay at the hotel.
Jane maybe will not (or won't) stay at the hotel.
The others are correct. |

Is "maybe" an adverb or modal in the sentence? |

Maybe is an adverb. You could substitute, possibly, or perhaps
You could also try, Jane may not be staying at the hotel.
but here may is an auxiliary verb. |
