				| Is it same? Is it the same? Are both questions okay?
Does ' same' become the predicate as a complement?

What's the grammatical explanation for this question?

 | The definite article the usually precedes same, as in: 'Is it the same?'

	  | What's the grammatical explanation for this question? | Is is a linking verb; it is the subject; the same is the subject complement.
