Hello everyone
I need help to solve a multiple choice question

"We are by nature prone ----- shy or outgoing, and we seem----- some certain pschological disorders"

A) to have been / to have been had
B) being / having
C) to being / to bee having
D) having been / having had
E) to be / to have

The answer key of the test says the answer is B
I think E may be the correct one because we can use infinitives after "prone" and "seem"

If you think the answer is B why not E ?

Thank you very much for your concern

E is the answer for me. There must be a mistake in the answer sheet.
Careful with your spelling of "psychological".

This is not the first time this month that the "correct answer" turned out to be dead wrong. I am glad that some students, at least, are able to question these "correct answers" and get a second opinion from native speakers. But I wonder how many other errors go undetected because they are in the official answer key, so they are accepted as correct by the teachers.

In many parts of the world English is being taught by non-native teachers. This, in itself, is not a bad thing. Some of the best ESL teachers have learned English as a second language.
