Hello, teachers!!
Imagine how unhappy the life of a peacock would be if he had been taught that it is wicked to have a good opinion of oneself.
----->
I am not sure this sentence wants to say. A peacock is always proud of himself. So, if a peacock are taught that it is bad to be proud of himself, will he be aware of his foolishness?
Would you tell me what this sentence wants to say?
Thank you in advance. |

Sounds interesting, but I am lost.
Maybe it means that some who deserve to feel proud can't but help feeling proud and we shouldn't expect them to be modest. For instance a peacock, Britney Spears etc.
Over to other teachers . . . |
