Dear teachers,
Could you tell me if the following sentence is correct?
I had prepared for this examination very well, I had learned all the themes and read all the fifty book I had to read.
Thank you very much in advance for you assistance. |

I feel that a semi-colon would be better than a comma after well. |

To emphasize the fact that I had indeed prepared well for the examination, I'd rewrite the sentence as follows:
I had prepared very well for this examination: I had learned all the themes and had read all the fifty books I had to read.
The colon is used to introduce a second clause that explains the first. _________________ Mary W. Ng
