Dear Teachers,
1. Go over to the stage.
- Come over to the stage.
- When do we say come over and go over?
2. I could be way off base, but if this woman is a like a sister to him, then he wouldnt have any problem with you.
- I could be way off base means I could be very wrong, right?
Thanks a lot to Teachers,

1. If you are on the stage (or will be), you use "come." Think of it as a movement from someplace else to you on the stage.
"Come over to the stage tomorrow morning if you want to meet with me."
If you are headed to the stage, use "go." The movement is in the opposite direction.
"I'm going over to the stage to pick up Vicky. We're going to lunch together."
In reality, this issue is not that simple, but the guideline above fits most situations.
2. Bingo! |
